Hey. I've been out of touch. I've been bad at responding to messages because I haven't been able to form a coherent thought about why I've been so flaky and dropping so many balls. I'm really sorry to the commissions I've neglected (there's probably a good reason I don't usually take payment up front.) I'll be in touch soon. Okay, personal life update/explanation-but-not-excuse for my behavior. My husband and I are separating and it's of course been extremely emotionally brutal. We are still living together at the moment and we both got really sick with the flu over Christmas so that was.... definitely not my favorite day ever.

Major thanks to everyone who's helped by letting me vent, feeding me, helping with laundry because I do not have a washer/dryer in my building, spending time with me post-plague, and checking in or offering words of wisdom or commiseration. I cannot express my gratitude in any way that feels like enough but just know I adore you all.

I hope you can continue to be patient with me while I try and navigate whatever the hell comes next. Thank you so much and I love you all.

On a better note, Jeff's birthday is, and this is real, November 1st, 2018. This is the date I drew the first sketch of the being I would later call Jeff.

I think I'm going to throw him a 5th birthday party, complete with cake and balloons (red ones of course!)

As you can see, he's already looking forward to it.
