🥳 We are SO excited to be partnering with Great Bend Economic Development and Great Bend Alive on a Volunteer Work Day on Saturday, September 10th to install the new Art Alley in downtown Great Bend! This new street mural will be installed directly onto the pavement utilizing specialized paint, on the alley surface that connects Forest Avenue and Lakin Avenue behind Dry Lake Brewery. Local artist Melanie Ryan has come up with the design and will be present to help facilitate the paint-by-numbers style project with your help!
This is where YOU come in... We are needing volunteers to help with prepping and priming the surface, and then with the painting itself. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Shifts are 90 minutes each, and are available at several times throughout the day. BAM leaders will give volunteers a brief orientation before you start your shift. And don't worry... you don't need to be an artist to participate! This will be a relatively simple paint-by-numbers style format that will be easy to help with, regardless of your previous artistic experience.
We can hardly wait to bring Art Alley to life with your help!
