Grayslake AuthorFest 2026 is officially OPEN! Come join us in and around the Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum (164 Hawley St., Grayslake) to shop with more than 50 authors and bookish vendors, plus so much more!

Hello everyone! Today is the fourth annual Grayslake AuthorFest 2026, and we’re SO EXCITED!

The three of us — Melanie, Zee and Alexa — decided that this year, we wanted to take a few moments to step out from behind the scenes to officially introduce ourselves to the community that has given so much to us over the last four years.

Melanie Endsley Francisco — Principle People-Person and Regulator Expert
Zee Lacson - Author — Head Wrangler and Official Step-Collector
Alexa Zoellner — Chief Graphics Guru and Note-Taker Extraordinaire

When we first came together in late 2022, we were thinking of an event that would involve a few tables and a handful of authors at the library or someplace similar. What Grayslake AuthorFest has grown into — and it’s STILL growing — is beyond our wildest dreams.

Grayslake AuthorFest is truly a labor of love, and one that wouldn’t be possible without the absolutely amazing support from the community that has been forthcoming since the start. So to everyone who has been part of this dream-come-true — be that as a sponsor, volunteer, participant, attendee or anything in between — THANK YOU!
