When your “occasionally” cranky husband, Chad does an amazing job you got to brag on him.

He reworked my great-grandmother’s solid oak bench. It had five coats of various colors of paint. He spent hours sanding, staining, and polyurethaning it. The stenciling Amanda Whaley Phillips did is amazing!!

We are guessing it is from the 1950’s or 1960’s.

Our History

Originally settled in 1803, by Nicholas Keefauver the farm encompassed 300+/- acres. Initially the farms primary function involved agriculture, predominately corn and vegetables. The property has remained in the Keefauver family line since first being established. In the 1980’s the farm began raising dairy cows and at the height of production had 150+/- cows however dairy farm production ceased in the mid-1990’s. In 2013, the farm was purchased by Nicholas Keefauver’s 5th generation great grandson Chad Proffitt and his wife, Tessa. The last eight acres of the original Keefauver farm, purchased by the Proffitt’s has had extensive renovations to the barn and milk house for the purpose of weddings and venues ensuring anyone can have the wedding of their dreams on this beautiful property.
