October Vegetables & Bulbs to Plant. Let’s see what we can grow in the garden🌿

• Garlic: Plant softneck or hardneck garlic cloves between mid-October and early November. They develop roots through the winter and are ready to harvest the following June.
• Onions: Set out short-day onion starts or sow seeds for an early spring harvest.
• Root Vegetables: Direct sow radishes, beets, and turnips (early in the month for carrots, though late September is ideal for carrots).
• Leafy Greens & Brassicas: Direct sow or transplant spinach, arugula, cabbage, pak choy, kale, Swiss chard, and lettuce.
• Legumes: Plant broad beans (fava beans) or snap/sugar snap peas.
