Hey everyone! It's Marty Grosser, your bud 's, here to let you know that we're working hard behind-the-scenes to get our new website and blogsite up and running and in tip top order as soon as possible. We should have everything working properly by early next week. Until then, you can check out all of the new releases for this week at our new and improved website, https://budsartbooks.com/ for all of this week's exciting new releases, including:

THE EC ARCHIVES: THE COMPLETE VALOR
I think EC's "New Direction" series, Valor, doesn't get the respect it deserves, especially living in the very tall shadow of EC's Two-Fisted Tales and Frontline Combat. The "Tales of Mortal Combat, and Deeds of..." were edited by Al Feldstein and illustrated by EC's greatest: Reed Crandall, George Evans, Gardner Fox, Graham Ingels, Bernard Krigstein, Joe Orlando, Angelo Torres, Al Williamson and Wally Wood. That it only lasted five issues is a tragedy, as these were some of the most imaginative and well-illustrated tales to come from the publisher. They're all collected in one volume for a new generation to enjoy. There's a lot to like here, and it should not be overlooked! ~Marty

DC LIMITED COLLECTOR'S EDITION #25: BATMAN
Back in the '70s, DC and Marvel were exploring other formats, and the "Treasury Edition" was one of the field's innovations that connected with fans and collectors alike, until it didn't. But while it lasted, we got some of the best in classic material from years past, as well as all-new "event" volumes like Superman vs. Muhammad Ali and the first DC/Marvel crossovers: MGM's Marvelous Wizard of Oz (1975) and Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man: The Battle of the Century (1976). This Batman "Limited Collector's Edition" treasury features some of the greatest stories from the '40s to the '70s, printed big, and loaded with bonus material. That DC decided to re-release this classic treasury in its original format is amazing for that alone. That we veterans get to share it with a 21st Century audience is priceless. ~Marty

CREEPY PRESENTS: BERNIE WRIGHTSON
Bernie Wrightson was one of comics' most talented and beloved artists, and a true master of the short story format. These are all of Bernie's 11 stories from the pages of Warren's Creepy and Eerie, including the chilling and twisted "Jenifer" from Creepy #63! Illustrating tales written by Bruce Jones, Bill Dubay, and Wrightson himself, these are wickedly good terror tales that have stood the test of time! Don't miss it!

One of the great auteurs at Warner Bros. Cartoons was Robert "Bob" Clampett, director of over 80 classic shorts during his 15 years there. He designed and brought Porky Pig and Daffy Duck to life, and his style is unmistakable. His daughter, Ruth Clampett, along with animation historian Darrel Van Citters, tells the story of her father's colorful career, revealing over 450 images from Bob's work, including the incredibly successful TV series, Beany and Cecil.
