Join us in creating a full-length medieval feature film right here in the Bay Area. You’ll be working with an incredible group of talented theater actors and a seasoned crew — all great humans, many of whom have returned for multiple films with us.

We work very hard, very fast, and we make really cool stuff.

You’ll earn IMDb and film credits (multiple credits available depending on your participation), enjoy on-set meals, take photos on the red carpet at our local premiere, and forever capture a moment in time on the big screen. As time moves on and change is constant, filmmaking gives us the uniquely awesome opportunity to preserve people, places, and stories forever.

Feature Film Battle Scene (Bay Area)

Wild Dogs Productions is a Bay Area–based independent film company producing feature films for the past 18 years. With 62 completed features and a 63rd premiering in the coming weeks, we maintain an ambitious slate of four feature films per year, spanning action, westerns, war films, and genre storytelling.

Wild Dogs Productions is a self-funded, non-union production. Budgets are focused on locations, props, and feeding our cast and crew well.

While monetary compensation is not available, participants receive:
• IMDb credit & film credit
• HD digital download of the completed film
• Meals provided on set
• Local Bay Area red carpet premiere

🏹 VILLAGE BATTLE SCENE

Location: Private Ranch, Gilroy, CA
Shoot Date: Sunday, March 8
Setup Day: Saturday, March 7

We are seeking Renaissance Faire–style vendors, builders, and creatives who own and can erect their own medieval or fantasy structures, such as:
• Tents
• Huts
• Stalls
• Wooden frames or village elements

Goal:
To build a small medieval village for a large-scale battle sequence.
• Approximately 6 structures needed
• Structures will be dressed as a medieval village
• Vendors/builders are welcome to appear on camera as villagers/peasants
• Non-speaking roles
• Villagers will participate in a battle scene (and meet heroic ends)

Hey everyone!

Quick update on RenRegister and the application process for Ren Prod events. Bill is hard at work updating the new system, and the new version will be released soon. He’s integrating the existing database so that when you log in with your old password, all your information transfers seamlessly. Some financial system integrations are proving tricky, but if anyone can make it work, it’s Bill!

The first part of the system is already up, so stay tuned for more updates and the official release.

Tahoe Vendors:

Quick reminder: Valhalla Renaissance Faire will run for two weekends this year. We’re hoping vendors will join us for both weekends of the show, but we will consider a limited number of one-weekend participants. You’ll be able to stay on-site midweek, and RenProd staff will keep an eye on booths/encampments/tent city. However, we strongly encourage you to remove your inventory during the break and keep encampments clean to avoid attracting local wildlife.

Folsom Vendors:

We plan to follow last year’s layout but may extend further into the parking lot for a better food court setup. My goal is to arrange more tables and possibly add one or two large tents to provide extra shade for patrons.

Wyld Hunt Fae Ball Vendors:

We’re looking for a select few vendors to join us at the Wyld Hunt Fae Ball on October 18th at Hibernia Bank in San Francisco. Space is extremely limited, and we’ll be reaching out to some vendors directly. If you’re interested in being considered, let us know!

I’d love to have our fairy guild join the fun at this show and provide some color to the event. I’ll be reaching out directly to you, beautiful Fae.

The Imperial Knights will dazzle audiences with their skillful horsemanship, impressive weaponry, and dramatic battles. Spectators of all ages will be captivated by the chivalrous knights, majestic horses, and the exhilarating clash of lances. Experience full-armored combat between knights, culinary delicacies, craft demonstrations, ancient music, dance, and comedy. Magic and contortionist shows, swashbucklers, pirates, and fairies (seen only by children) will add to the enchantment.

Participate in archery and fencing, and let the kids enjoy dancing, games, crafts, puppet shows, and storytelling. They can even meet Queen Elizabeth herself! This event is a fusion of history and fantasy, celebrating cosplay culture from all genres, time periods, and countries. We invite all our guests to dress up in their finest time-traveling attire. No matter which century you portray, we’re looking forward to celebrating a leap back (or forward) in time with you!

The Valhalla Renaissance Faire is a unique entertainment experience and an extraordinary outing for children. This festival includes full-armored combat between knights, a Celtic Music Concert, culinary delicacies, craft demonstrations, ancient music, dance, and comedy. Patrons will participate in archery, javelin throws, and fencing. Activities for the children will include dancing, games, crafts, puppet shows, and storytelling.

The Valhalla Renaissance Faire recreates a Renaissance village on festival weekends and includes a merchant marketplace with nearly 100 unique merchants and crafters.

My name is April and I am your Volunteer Coordinator for Valhalla and Folsom Faires this year. I am asking for those that are planning to volunteer this year, to please send an email to [email protected] confirming what faire or faires you are able to volunteer at, as well as your availability and any food allergies you have.
We are asking our volunteers to sit gates, help with the water booth, Need as many hands as possible setting up and tearing down. We are not asking any of our volunteers to do anything we have not done before. We will feed you!!
We are looking forward to putting on 2 great shows this year.
