The music world has lost a shining star✨🦋

Dolly Parton and Elvis Presley were two Tennessee icons whose talent touched generations. Elvis loved Dolly’s beautiful song “I Will Always Love You” and wanted to record it, but sadly, the recording never came to be.

Today, those words feel like the perfect farewell to Dolly: We will always love you.

Rest in peace, Dolly. The Queen of Country now joins the King of Rock ’n’ Roll among the stars. 🕊️

On August 14, 1958, Gladys Presley passed away at just 46 years old. The bond between Elvis and his mother was incredibly special, and her loss stayed with him for the rest of his life.
