I always oil out larger areas or whole unfinished paintings that have dried before adding fresh paint. A thin mix of walnut oil and Gamsol brings back the look of wet paint, helping the new layer blend nicely with the old.

A beautiful morning in the woods from earlier this week, overlooking the Charlevoix beach and lighthouse. I plan to go back and finish when the weather allows. You can see specks of Lake Michigan through the trees.
