Many of you may remember Chris Yambar from his apperarance at our early shows. Sad news. Condolences to Maureen and his family. We have a funny story about Chris and Capt. Melanie (of our crew) driving in circles trying to find his hotel.....which was on top of a hill. They didn't bother to look up until about the 5th go-round.

The RocCon & Central PA ComicCon Families are devastated to learn the news of the passing of one of our frequent and most well-received guests, Alec Frazier.

Alec achieved so much in his short 34 years. When I first met him at Ithacon 10 years ago,he couldn't even look me in in the face to speak with me. That wouldn't last.

I was honored to be the first convention to have him as a guest as his talent blossomed.

Within a few short years Alec had created the character of Tim Ulrich in "Without Fear, Tthe 1st Autistic Super Hero" and went on to write 'Veni! Vidi! Autism, a very honest look at the world as a member of the disability community.

Alec's vast knowledge about the disability community & law made him a great person to present his own panel or participate in another's panel. He was there when I need to discuss disability issues important to the shows. He always had great insight for me.

Alec and I got together here and there outside of the shows as we had a lot in common and enjoyed bantering over a variety of issues. He was such a lugnut. Fun to be around.

It was wonderful to watch Alec grow from a shy young man to an educated (a variety of degrees) and vibrant member of the community with his activism and writing.

We would like to take a moment to send our condolences to his parents, siblings, his crazy aunt whom he loved so much and all his other friends and family.

I will miss being addressed as "you crazy lunatic".

...and we will miss you Alec. You had so much more to do and left us way too soon.

Hi all! It's Alicia your con director. I hope you are doing well. I have decided to postpone the show until next year or until such time we feel everyone can attend safely. We had a commitment to an October date but we feel the situation is just too unstable to lay out un-refundable expenses. We also have some out of the box ideas for the next show based on what is happening.... Updates will be sporadic, but we will keep you posted as needed. Please be safe and special prayers going out to all that have had friends, family members or selves with the virus.

Hi everyone! I'm sure you've been wondering what's up with the date for 2020....your convention director was in a serious car accident and now needs surgery. Between that and the recovery time, we know we can't put on as quality a show as we would normally. After talking to the hotel, we have decided to put the show on Labor Day Weekend 2020 the 5th and 6th of September. We will open the show before the end of the year, probably around November. Thanks kindly for your understanding. On the positive side, I'm hoping for that perfect nose after surgery
