Barnstormers Theatre is one of Oregon's oldest continuously operating community theaters. We are a non-profit Oregon corporation.

Founded in 1952, we've been bringing the magic of live theater to the Rogue Valley for over 74 years! We have a paid Executive Director and all others involved in our productions -- the board of directors, artistic committee members, actors, directors, stage and technical crew, box office, hosts and publicity persons -- are volunteers, working for the love of live community theatre, maybe some tip money and a few free tickets. 🎟️ Justice for Hakiym: Documentary Screening & Raffle Fundraiser

Join us at Barnstormers Theatre on Saturday, September 12, 2026, for a powerful community event supporting the legal defense fund for Brian "Hakiym" Simpson. Hakiym—a Cal Fire firefighter, engineer, and emergency services instructor—was imprisoned in 2024 after defending himself against a racist attack. Come watch the documentary Us As We Are: Justice for Hakiym, hear his story, and participate in a live Q&A panel!

Director,s Note:

Lend Me A Tenor, a classic farce by Ken Ludwig, is a delightful play filled with door-slamming, mistaken identities, and uproarious humor. At its core, the play revolves around Max, a young assistant who embarks on a journey of self-discovery and finding his voice. He is challenged to push his limits in pursuit of important goals that have been within him all along.
I am honored to be part of such an extraordinary group. When I was invited to make my directorial debut with Lend Me A Tenor, I eagerly accepted the opportunity. Our incredible cast and crew have dedicated months of hard work to present this gem to you.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you for joining us tonight. Our hope is that you leave the theater with a smile on your face and laughter in your heart.

Update: we just got a very generous donation of doors from one our valued volunteers!:We are so incredibly grateful for our community!

Calling all local businesses, builders, and DIYers in Josephine County! Barnstormers Theatre is gearing up for our upcoming production of the hilarious farce Lend Me a Tenor, and our set design requires a very specific piece of stage magic: interior doors! ( we need 2 more!)

Do you have a couple of spare interior doors lying around in your garage, shop, or warehouse that you’d be willing to donate? Or are you a local business interested in an ad trade (exchanging materials for prominent ad space in our upcoming playbill and digital channels)?

What we are looking for:

Two interior doors (standard hollow-core or panel doors work great; condition doesn't have to be pristine since we'll be painting them for the set!)

Ideally available for drop-off or local pickup in the Grants Pass area soon.

In exchange, we’ll give your business a shoutout as a proud community production partner in our program and online!
