There’s still time to order flowers for your favorite dancer before the Celebrate Dance Concert!

Each beautiful mixed bouquet is created by a local florist and will be ready for pickup right in the theater lobby the night of your dancer’s performance — making it easy to celebrate their special moment on stage.

Even better? Every bouquet purchased helps support our dancers as they prepare for their 2027 Performance Tour through Europe, where they’ll have the incredible opportunity to share their love of dance internationally.

A day celebrating hard work, dedication, and the love of dance.

Our Solo/Duo/Trio Showcase was such a special opportunity for our dancers to share their pieces with family and friends while celebrating an incredible season of growth, competition, and accomplishments.

Every performance tells a story — hours in the studio, moments of perseverance, confidence built, and dancers pushing themselves to become stronger artists.

A huge thank you to Heartland Dance Academy for graciously sharing their beautiful performance space with us and helping make this day possible. 🤍

Many of these pieces will take the stage again at our Celebrate Dance Concert June 12 & 13, and we can’t wait for you to see them shine. Some performances were shared just for today, but every single dancer left their heart on that stage.

So proud of this group and all they continue to accomplish.

Dance is more than steps, counts, and performances… it’s a language that connects us across the world.

Our Southern Oregon Dance Center dancers have an incredible opportunity coming in 2027 — traveling to Austria to learn, perform, experience new cultures, and share their love of dance on an international stage.

This once-in-a-lifetime experience gives our students the chance to grow not only as dancers, but as individuals — learning from others, exploring the world, and creating memories that will stay with them forever.

Many of our dancers are currently working hard fundraising to help make this dream a reality. Every fundraiser supported, every donation given, and every encouraging word helps open the door for these young artists to experience something truly special.

Thank you for supporting our dancers, believing in their dreams, and helping them represent Southern Oregon across the world.

Big dreams start in small studios… and we can’t wait to watch where dance takes them next.

We love seeing our dancers shine on every stage… even when that stage is the streets of Grants Pass.

Southern Oregon Dance Center had the best time celebrating our community at the Boatnik Parade — and we’re excited to share that we took 1st Place in our division! 🏆🎉

A huge thank you to our dancers, families, and everyone who makes moments like this possible. From parades to performances, we love giving our students opportunities to build confidence, create memories, and share their love of dance.

And the fun is just getting started…

Join us for an unforgettable weekend as Southern Oregon Dance Center takes the stage for our annual spring concert, Celebrate Dance!

From our youngest dancers stepping into the spotlight for the very first time to our award-winning Advanced Production Company and professional SOD Collective performers, this show celebrates the passion, artistry, growth, and heart of dance in our community.

What a way to close out our 2026 competition season.

This weekend was more than awards — it was a reflection of the heart, discipline, artistry, and dedication poured into every rehearsal, every correction, every early morning, and every moment on stage.

🏆 8 Diamond Awards
🏆 Multiple High Score Overall placements
🏆 Special Judges’ Awards for choreography & musicality
🏆 Director’s Choice Award for The Grotto — the top standout piece of the entire regional competition
🏆 Outstanding Senior recognition for leadership, character, and community impact
🏆 And an incredible scholarship finalist achievement for one of our seniors at Azusa Pacific University

But beyond the titles and trophies… we are most proud of the kind of dancers these students are becoming.

At SODC, we strive to build more than strong technicians. We strive to develop artists who move people, leaders who inspire others, and humans who carry excellence both on and off the stage.

To our dancers, teachers, choreographers, families, and supporters — thank you for trusting the process and believing in the vision. The growth this season has been beautiful to witness. 🤍

What a weekend for our SODC dancers ✨

Our soloists took the stage Saturday at competition and absolutely shined. We are beyond proud of the hard work, passion, discipline, and heart these dancers continue to bring every single time they perform.

But the special ones?
They do it because they can’t imagine life without dance.

The stage feels like home.
The music means something.
The rehearsals, the nerves, the performances, the hard moments, the breakthroughs… they love all of it.

At SODC, our Performance + Competition Teams are for dancers who truly want to grow, perform, connect, and experience dance on a bigger level.

And this season? It’s even bigger.

🌍 Selected Advanced Team dancers will have the opportunity to perform in EUROPE (Austria) Summer 2027.

If your dancer lights up the second the music starts… this might be exactly where they belong.

Our dancers are learning NEW choreography from Wes for our 2027 Austria performance experience… and let’s just say — the emotion, artistry, and vision behind this piece is already something incredible.

And here’s the exciting part…
This piece will have a special preview/soft release during our June show

Watching choreography come to life from the very beginning is one of the most inspiring parts of the process. The growth, trust, creativity, and storytelling happening in these rehearsals is exactly why we love what we do.

Austria 2027 is already shaping up to be an unforgettable journey for these dancers.
