There are tattoos, and then there are tattoos that completely change the way someone sees themselves.

Ornamental ni**le tattoos have become one of my favorite styles to create because they’re so much more than decoration. They’re a celebration of femininity, confidence, sexuality, and self-expression. A way to adorn the body with something beautiful and intentional.

One thing that surprises many people is that this process is often far easier than they expect. Compared to piercings, the discomfort is generally much lower, the healing is significantly faster, and if you love the look of both—nothing says you can’t combine them for an even more personalized aesthetic.

This client was an absolute joy to work with. From design placement to the final reveal, we spent the session laughing, chatting, and creating something uniquely hers. My favorite moment is always seeing that reaction when the mirror comes out. That instant when someone sees themselves differently—not because they’ve changed who they are, but because they’ve found a new way to celebrate it.

These tattoos are empowering, elegant, and deeply personal, and I would love to create more of them.

He came along for his girlfriend’s appointment, planning to be the spectator for the day. But somewhere between watching the process and talking about ideas, he decided it was finally time for his very first tattoo.

The choice? A flower from the Get What You Get Flower Edition, personalized with a vase and placed beside a scar he received years ago while exploring the woods with his grandmother. Those afternoons spent searching for plants, herbs, and hidden treasures in the forest became some of his favorite memories—and this tattoo is a small tribute to them.

What started as a spontaneous first tattoo may have opened the door to something bigger. We’ve already started talking about the possibility of building a sleeve inspired by the very plants and herbs they searched for together, creating a living collection of memories woven into the skin.

Not a bad way to start a tattoo journey.

What memory, place, or person would inspire your first tattoo? Send me a DM and let’s create something meaningful together.

Before she was old enough to get a tattoo, she was already fighting battles most adults couldn’t imagine.

At 18, she walked into the studio for her very first tattoo carrying a story of strength that began long before adulthood.

As a child, she faced cancer. She endured treatments, uncertainty, fear, and challenges that no child should ever have to face. But she kept going.

For her first tattoo, she chose a cancer ribbon with her patient number—a reminder of where her journey began and everything she overcame to get here.

She’s a survivor. A warrior. Living proof that courage doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it looks like showing up, one day at a time, and refusing to quit.

When she completed treatment years ago, her hospital didn’t have the tradition of ringing a bell to celebrate the end of that chapter. So when we finished her tattoo, we changed that.

She rang the bell.

Not because the fight was today, but because some victories deserve to be heard, no matter how much time has passed.

Here’s to strength. Here’s to resilience. Here’s to every milestone that reminds us just how far we’ve come.

Congratulations on your survivorship, and thank you for allowing me to be part of such a meaningful moment. đź’›

Years ago, this piece began as a tribal dragon, but life happened, the tattoo was never fully finished, and time slowly took its toll.

Now it’s getting a new chapter.

This first session was all about laying the foundation for the dragon he always envisioned—a powerful Chinese dragon stretching up the back with the movement, presence, and scale the original piece never had the chance to become.

Cover-ups are some of my favorite challenges because they require equal parts creativity and strategy. Every line has to work with what’s already there while building something entirely new. By the end, the goal isn’t for people to notice the old tattoo underneath.

The goal is for them to never know it existed.

We’re still in the early stages, but the groundwork is in place, the dragon is taking shape, and I’m excited to see this transformation unfold over the next sessions.

Have an old tattoo that never became what you hoped it would? Let’s talk about what’s possible.

This session was all about the details that bring this goddess to life. We focused on her headdress, layering in the shells, pearls, gemstones, and adornments that frame her face and give the piece its sense of richness and movement.

We also spent time refining her eyes—and what a difference that made. There’s an intensity in her stare now that seems to follow you across the room. One small detail, but it completely changes the energy of the piece.

Watching this design come together layer by layer has been incredibly rewarding. Every session adds another chapter, another detail, another reason to step back and admire how far she’s come.

I can’t wait to continue bringing this goddess to life.

What detail do you notice first—the jewelry or the eyes? Let me know below. ✨

This sleeve has been growing right alongside my journey as a tattoo artist.

Back when I was still in my first few months of tattooing, this project began with a memorial piece centered around a moose statue that held deep meaning. From there, the goal became something bigger—building an entire world around that memory.

Tax season has become our tradition. Every year, we sneak in another session. Not marathon appointments. Just a few hours here and there. One more layer. One more piece of the story.

When you’re a dad with young kids, free time can be hard to come by. Sometimes all you get are small windows for yourself, and that’s exactly how this sleeve has come together—patiently, steadily, and with purpose.

This session brought the family to the forefront. Three bear cubs exploring a meadow represent his three children, surrounded by flowers inspired by the colors from his wedding day. Framing it all are the towering trees and landscapes that feel unmistakably Pacific Northwest—something that feels right at home here in Oregon.

What I love most about this piece is how personal it is. Every section tells part of his story. Every year adds another chapter. And with each session, this world grows a little larger and a little more complete.

I’m incredibly grateful to have been trusted with this project from the beginning and to watch it continue to evolve piece by piece.

Most people test the waters with a small first tattoo. She cannonballed straight into the deep end.

This piece marks my client’s very first tattoo, created in honor of her grandmother and the love, memories, and impact they’ve left behind.

During the session, she cycled through just about every emotion imaginable—nervous, excited, uncomfortable, determined, and laughing through it all. If you’ve ever gotten your first tattoo, you probably know exactly what that feels like.

What makes this one even more special is that it was a graduation gift from her uncle, turning an already meaningful milestone into something she’ll carry with her for the rest of her life.

I always love watching someone experience their first tattoo. There’s anticipation, uncertainty, and then that moment when they see it come together and realize they did it. They made the leap.

And if you’re going to get a tattoo that honors the people who helped shape who you are, maybe going a little bigger isn’t such a bad idea after all.

What meaningful piece have you been thinking about getting?

This session was a small step forward, but one that changed the feel of the entire piece.

We started bringing color into her hair, adding warmth and life against a landscape that feels anything but alive. Twisted trees, dark water, and the eerie stillness of the swamp create a world that feels toxic and suffocating. Yet at the center of it all stands a figure connected to her rebreather—pulling in clean air where there shouldn’t be any.

That’s what I love most about this design. It’s not just dark for the sake of being dark. The contrast is what gives it meaning. The swamp represents decay, heaviness, and survival. The figure represents resilience. Even surrounded by everything working against her, she’s still breathing.

This piece continues to be one of those projects that draws you in the longer you look at it. Equal parts haunting and beautiful, with so much more still to come.

What part of this tattoo catches your eye first?

I knew I was going to love this piece, but that tiny bee might be my favorite part so far.

We already had the linework healed and settled, so this session was all about bringing the first layers of color to life.

Soft lavender, blackberries, airy cosmos, and the sweetest little bee tucked right into the center of one of the blooms. That fuzzy little butt absolutely deserves its own moment.

One of the things I love most about this piece is the balance between softness and movement. The fireflies were added before we ever started the flowers, so their glow is already established throughout the design. Now comes the fun challenge: building the flowers around them and creating those subtle reflections of light along the petals and edges so everything feels connected.

It’s still early in the color process, but you can already see the direction this piece is heading. Elegant, whimsical, and full of the little details that make you want to keep looking a little longer.

I can’t wait to continue bringing this one to life.

✨ If you’re dreaming about a custom floral piece with thoughtful details woven throughout, let’s start planning it.

Some tattoos are more than art—they’re a turning point.

There’s something powerful about taking a part of yourself that has caused discomfort, frustration, or difficult memories and transforming it into something that feels beautiful again.

For this piece, we used a delicate fine-line moon to soften and conceal a scar that had bothered her for a long time. Around it, three tiny stars shine as a tribute to the people who mean the most to her—her children. Her guiding lights. Her brightest stars.

One of the things I love most about tattooing is witnessing these moments of transformation. A tattoo can be decorative, meaningful, symbolic, or deeply personal. Sometimes it’s all of those things at once. It can help reclaim a part of your story and give it a new purpose.

What was once a reminder of the past is now a reflection of love, strength, and the people who light her way forward every day.

If there’s a design you’ve been considering to help you reconnect with your body or tell your story in a new way, I’d love to help bring it to life. DM to book your consultation.
