The updated colors are modern, clean, and sophisticated, giving the property an elevated look that better reflects the beautiful experience waiting for our guests inside.

It’s exciting to see another piece of our Refresh Project come to life. We’re continuing to invest in SMC and create a property that our guests, employees, and community can be proud of.

It’s Powwow Weekend in Grand Ronde!

This weekend, Grand Ronde comes alive with celebration, honor, culture, and community as we welcome dancers, drummers, Tribal members, families, veterans, elders, and visitors from across the Pacific Northwest and throughout the country to the 2026 Grand Ronde Contest Powwow.

If you’ve never attended a powwow before, you are welcome here. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

A powwow is much more than an event. It is a gathering—a time to celebrate Native culture and traditions through dancing, singing and the heartbeat of the drums. It is a place to honor veterans and elders, reconnect with family and friends, meet new people, enjoy traditional and contemporary Native arts and foods, and celebrate the strength and vibrancy of Native communities.

There is something truly special about seeing the arena fill during Grand Entry—the colors of the regalia, hearing the drums and songs, and watching generations come together in one place. Whether this is a tradition you return to year after year or your very first powwow, we invite you to experience it with us.

Shuttles between the casino and the pow wow grounds will be available every 30 minutes at the east entrance of the casino.

Last night was one of those moments I’ll remember for a long time. ❤️‍🔥🏀

I was honored to represent Spirit Mountain Casino and present the game ball to the officials before the Portland Fire took the court at the Moda Center. And what a night to do it—the Fire went on to defeat the Toronto Tempo 97–83!

There is something especially meaningful about watching women compete, lead, and succeed on a stage like this. Women’s professional sports are about so much more than the final score. Every time these athletes step onto the court, young girls in the stands are seeing another example of what is possible.

They’re seeing strength. Confidence. Discipline. Teamwork. Resilience. And women unapologetically pursuing excellence.

Representation matters. When girls grow up seeing women celebrated as athletes, coaches, officials, executives and leaders, their own possibilities become a little bigger.

I’m proud that Spirit Mountain Casino supports the Portland Fire and proud to be part of a community that is embracing women’s professional sports in Portland.

Congratulations to the Portland Fire on a great win—and thank you for allowing me to be part of such a special night.

The future of women’s sports is bright, and Portland is showing up for it. 🔥

Last week, I had the privilege of sharing dinner with some of our loyal casino guests. It was a wonderful evening filled with meaningful conversation and stories from people who have been visiting Spirit Mountain Casino for many years. Hearing about their experiences, memories, and what keeps them coming back reminds us why we do what we do.

A heartfelt thank you to this incredible group for your company, your candid conversations, and your continued loyalty.

I also want to extend a special thank you to our Executive Chef, Jason, for preparing an exceptional meal that was as beautiful as it was delicious, and to our outstanding staff, whose attention to every detail made the evening truly memorable. We are grateful to have such a talented team creating experiences that our guests will remember.

There are few things better than spending a summer day celebrating the incredible people who make Spirit Mountain Casino such a special place.

Our annual Employee Picnic is one of my favorite traditions. It’s an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, enjoy great food, lots of laughs, games, and time together with the amazing team that works so hard every day for our guests and one another.

This year was even more special because my son and the cutest little granddaughter got to join in the fun. Watching her enjoy the day and seeing so many of our team members and their families making memories together reminded me that we’re more than coworkers—we’re a community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped organize today’s event and to every employee and family member who came out to celebrate. Days like today remind me how fortunate I am to be part of this incredible team. ❤️
