The Holidays are coming up and if you've been wanting to give the gift of experience, we think being able to fabricate your own ring or pendant out of silver is pretty cool! We have classes available in January and February. If you're not sure on dates, but still want to give the gift, then there are e-gift cards available on our front page!

This lovely human, Nancy, was the first person to just casually walk into my studio when I first opened up the new location back in 2018.

I haven't shaken her loose since! She has been a vigilant spirit in the corner of my studio for most Saturdays. Some days we just chat and get nothing done. Other days, she produces fabulous and inspired things, progressing in skill and confidence.

She offered to continue teaching the monthly Cabochon Class in my stead. So keep a look out for the January 16 and February 20 class that are now posted on our website. She is also available to teach some private classes if you ask real nice!

If anyone has been wondering why there are no updates on classes for the fall/winter season, stay tuned and read this!

I've applied to work as a chef on McMurdo Station in Antarctica for their Summer season from November to February and have officially gotten clearance to work for the National Science Foundation.

What this means for the studio:
🎨It has shifted to a private studio for artists
💀No more public studio hours on Saturdays
⚒ Jewelry classes will still take place at limited capacity

FAQ's
"What if I want to learn how to make rings?"
💜A couple of my members are open to offering the occasional workshop and will be offered as a private group for 5-6 people maximum, or stay tuned to our website and socials where I will post our community offerings.

"I was hoping to make wedding rings with my partner, what are my options?"
💜 Casting will not be available as an option, but I can put you in connection with my 2 teachers who may have the time and capacity to teach ring fabrication. I will work with you to figure out ring sizing and materials and the teacher will handle scheduling!

" I really wanted to learn casting. Will it ever be offered again?"
💜Not until the spring when I return to the studio again!

2 creative artists came into my studio to learn TIG welding and I LOVE the direction they went in! How CUTE is this spider themed plant holder? And this fish trellis will be the envy of any yard.

Are you an artist looking to get out of your garage, basement, or spare closet?

Starting in November, my little studio space on the corner of Fuller and Kalamazoo will switch over to private studio spaces. This is a 2 story building that has it's own parking lot and is close proximity to a lot of wonderful neighborhood resources and would be ideal for 2D and even 3D artists that create small scale works.

The cost is $375/month and includes internet, gas, electric, & water. This will also be a shared space with other artists. If interested, please reach out to me through email!

💜CALL TO ARTISTS LOOKING FOR A STUDIO SPACE 💜
I'm shifting gears with The Hot Spot and turning it into a private studio space for 4-6 artists. For those not familiar with the space, we are located on the SE side in the Boston Square Neighborhood on the corner of Fuller and Kalamazoo. It's 2 floors with 1 bathroom and currently being used as a space for metalsmiths.
For more information, i've posted a studio contract that loosely defines the standard of conduct and ammenities for the space. There is also a studio applicaion form for anyone interested in having a space and filling it out!
I'm looking to offer this studio for availabitity starting in October.
