Whatcha know about the GameCube New Nintendo 3DS XL? 👀

Well, for starters, it’s a custom-built console made by the talented folks over at Raretro Consoles.

Second, it was designed to look and feel like something Nintendo could’ve actually released back in the day.

Third? It’s purple. That goated GameCube purple. The design absolutely kills, and we genuinely can’t stop staring at it. 🟣🎮

We went a little overboard with the GameCube details, but that was kind of the point 😂

Purple exterior, black interior, the original button colors, artwork wrapping all the way around, even the startup is GameCube themed.

Probably one of my favorite builds to come off our bench lately.

This console is a good example of why we invested in a UV printer.

We’ve wanted to do something with Shin Megami Tensei IV for a while, and this artwork felt almost too perfect for a 3DS XL.

The black and white design is printed directly onto the shell, then finished with a glossy layer that gives the artwork a little extra depth when the light hits it.

Just artwork wrapped across a 3DS XL in a way that adds to the original limited edition console.

Pair all this with custom black and white buttons.. and a shin megami Tensei IV theme... This is definitely one of those builds that makes our UV printer earn its keep.

You know Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver & Crystal…

But did you know Japan gave all SEVEN a special boxed Virtual Console release for the Nintendo 3DS? 👀 -->

These weren’t just download cards either.

Each box included collectible extras modeled after the original Game Boy releases, including cartridge-style magnets, manual-style stickers, and regional maps/posters. Crystal even got a lenticular 3D cartridge magnet. 🔥

Finding one complete is already a challenge.

Finding Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver AND Crystal complete?

That took us 7 months of sourcing across Japan. 😅

And yes, we made sure each one came with the clear protective case because after seven months of hunting, these are getting treated like Pokémon artifacts. 😂

Everyone knows the games
