Black & White to Full Color with Wedding Professionals

Old photographs are more than pictures.

They’re memories.

This wedding photograph began as a black-and-white image. Through digital restoration and colorization, I was able to bring back detail, depth and a sense of life while preserving the character of the original photograph.

That’s what I enjoy most about this kind of work.

I’m not trying to replace the original memory. I’m helping people experience it in a new way.

Wedding photographs.
Military photographs.
Family portraits.
Parents and grandparents.
Moments that may exist in only one surviving photograph.

From Traditional to Digital

This tiger began as a graphite drawing I created in 2013.

Years later, I was able to take that original artwork into the digital world — adding color, depth, texture, lighting and a greater sense of realism while still preserving the character of the original drawing.

That is one of the things I enjoy most about digital art.

The original artwork doesn’t have to be the end of the story.

It can become the beginning of something new.

I’ll continue sharing more of my original artwork and showing how I take each piece from traditional to digital.

From Traditional to Digital

The artwork on the left began the traditional way — drawn and rendered by hand using markers.

The image on the right shows how I can take that original artwork into the digital world while still preserving the character and identity of the original piece.

For me, digital art isn’t about replacing traditional art.

It’s about taking the artwork further.

Adding depth.
Adding realism.
Enhancing color, lighting and detail.
And sometimes even taking the artwork into animation.

I’ll be sharing more of my original artwork and showing the journey from traditional to digital.
