Memory Scapes are complete! What satisfaction it is to see all 31 paintings framed and together as one collection. I took some time to admire them as a whole before they begin to go to their new homes.

You guyssssssss. I went to Ireland and I brought my paints along with me! I was drawn to Ireland because I heard the people were so kind (true) and the landscapes were stunning (also true).

This collection has been such a labor of love as I aimed to capture the feelings of being small in an expanse of green and the pure peace I felt while I was there.

A few of these paintings are listed on my site now, but a few I’ll keep forever to remember the experience of my very first solo trip!

My actions are often all-or-nothing even though I *so badly* want to be consistent for myself. But here we are. I have been making things consistently- usually paintings- because I’ve always have been and always will be a maker. But making and posting content is another story.

So here’s a still from my always messy studio that’s been filled with flowers and fields and crispy diet cokes this summer.

If anyone has tips for being consistent with an all-over-the-place creative brain and energy levels hit me up.

I taught my first painting workshop last weekend at a bridal shower where Grace was being celebrated. We got to paint outside with the birds chirping and beautiful flowers around us while we painted this delicious still life of bright florals in a cheery vase. What a great way to celebrate!

Looks like I’m now open for workshops because I had the best time sharing my favorite medium with others.

I recently started two wonderful new jobs that I’m really enjoying. Even though they’re both a great fit, I’m still figuring out how painting fits into my new rhythm.

I *want* to paint—because I love it, because I want to keep growing—but balancing rest with hustle is tricky.

Today, I found a small pocket of time to paint. It reminded me that painting almost always starts as a ‘buckle down and hustle’ activity but always ends as a restful one.

While I’ve always strived to create work I’m proud of, painting brought a different sense of pride. I was sometimes surprised by what I could create. Each time I packaged a painting to send to its new home, I’d take one last look at the piece—the brushstrokes, the details—and feel a little sad to part with it. But I was always so happy to send it out into the world.
