Summer 3man 2026 event #2
Meijer State Games of Michigan
First and foremost I want to thank Meijer for allowing us to be involved in the State Games of Michigan. We’ve been honored to host these events for several years now and we are proud do so.
One of our TB teams had an urgent matter to attend to so our Tru-Beginner division shrunk down to 4 teams overnight. Scared Hitless went 2-4 in prelims and earned the #4 seed for our seeded round. Dimes (formerly Arc Assassins) went 3-3 in prelims and claimed the #3 seed to semis. Rag Tag TB also won 3 prelim games, earning the #2 seed while MAC (Maverick, Anthony, Chloe) went 4-2 shortly after learning each others names and advanced to the semi finals as the #1 seed. In semis Scared Hitless quickly changed their fortunes by winning 2 straight against MAC to earn the finals berth. Rag Tag TB played Dimes to a no-point in game 1, to have Dimes with games 2 & 3 to advance to finals. In finals Scared Hitless & Dimes split the first 2 games but it was Scared Hitless getting the frist elimination in game 3 to give them the edge that they would ride to an event win!

Our Rookie division was our largest for the day. T.O.P. (Tristan, Owen, Paeton) Guns struggled to get in a groove in a very competitive Rookie division. They finished 2-6 in 12th place. Playing For Keeps is always competitive but they were only able to hang 2 flags to leave them outside the finals cut. They finished 2-6 in 11th place. GR Ruckus went 2-6 and finished in 10th place. TCP Diamond Machine hung 3 flags. They went 3-5 and finished in 9th. Rag Rag rk had 1 more elimination than Diamond Machine. They went 3-5 and finished in 8th place. MI Veteran Militia got beat by the schedule. Even though we ran ahead of schedule all event they had time issues as they had to leave the event early. They were 5-1 when they left so they missed the finals cut but still posted an impressive score. They finished in 7th place. The top 6 rookie teams moved on to quarter finals. Bunker Busters V1 and The Badlands Rangers tied in prelims and they did not play each other head to head so the tie breaker is a coin flip. BLR won the toss to give them the #5 seed while BBV1 would settle for the 6. ThunderLords split all their prelim sets going 4-4 and went into quarters as the #4 seed. Hastings Wolf Pack made their return to tournaments and posted 2 perfect sets to help them claim the #3 seed in to semis. The top 2 teams in Rookie earned byes to the final 4. Field Rats went 7-1 to claim the #1 while Bunker Busters V2 went 6-2 to claim the 2. BBV2 did something rare in prelims. They posted 3 perfect sets (no lost bodies) out of 4 total sets. Very impressive! In quarter finals BBV1 put away HWP in 2 games. Badlands Rangers won game 1 but Thunderlords were able to win the next 2 to give them the final 4 berth. In semi finals The Field Rats dispatched BBV1 in 2 games while BBV2 and Thunderlords tussled back and forth for 2 games with the T’Lords ultimately winning game 3 to give them their 2nd consecutive finals berth. In finals it was back and forth but in the end it was the Field Rats winning game 3 and the MSG 3man event in the rookie division! CONGRATS FIELD RATS!

Our novice division was a 3man Xball.
In prelims BRNT (2nd place event 2) lost to TCP Staff Infection 2-3, Battle Machine 1-2 and Nano Machine 0-2 to post an 0-3 prelim match record. TCP Battle Machine was the #3 seed into the semi final round. They beat BRNT 2-1, lost to TCP Staff 0-4 and to Nano 1-4. TCP Nano Machine went 2-1 in prelims beating BRNT 2-0, Battle Machine 4-1 and losing to Staff 1-2. TCP Staff Infection won event 1 and stayed hot in event 2. They beat BRNT 3-2, Battle Machine 4-0 and Nano Machine 2-1 in prelims going 3-0 and earned the #1 seed. In semi finals Staff Infection put away BRNT and Nano Machine Beat Battle Machine again to set up the finals showdown. In finals it was too much staff for nano to handle. They simply played better Xball but managing the clock and doing the right thing in the right situations. CONGRATS TO TCP STAFF INFECTION!
