Hey all! I really appreciate the likes and follows!

For those who don’t already know, I created VS. The Studio. as a part of my mission to help the West Michigan music scene reach its potential. My goal with this venture is to make quality recording accessible to area artists that are priced out of a traditional studio. From quick and dirty demos, to live multitrack recording, to a polished album, I want to help get all this local talent heard. I plan to also make available the option of having recording sessions filmed to use either as promotional clips or as a “making of” style music video to accompany your project.

On a related note, I have spoken with a few area breweries, and am in the planning stages of creating a “Brewery Sessions” series featuring live performances of area artists/bands at multiple locations in GR and the surrounding area. If you or anyone you know would be interested in taking part, please reach out!

I also thought I’d share one of my unique studio/live toys: the 8 string baritone acoustic. Tuned from B to B, this crazy instrument adds a unique sound to any performance by covering the range between a traditional guitar and a bass, a place usually reserved for keyboards/synth. The two extra strings are octaves of the middle two strings, giving much of the sparkle heard from a 12 string guitar while maintaining the more comfortable neck width of a 6 string. This and several other instruments are available for use by anybody recording with VS. The Studio.
