In Memoriam: Paul Anthony Winkler, President and Co-Founder of Corporate Live, Inc.
April 10, 1960 – March 7, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Anthony Winkler, President and Co-Founder of Corporate Live, Inc., on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 3:17 p.m. Born on April 10, 1960, at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Paul’s remarkable life and legacy touched countless hearts through his leadership, humility, and unwavering dedication to family, friends, and the live event production industry.
Paul’s career began in 1975, sparked by a deep-rooted passion for music and live events instilled by his father, Charlie Winkler, a talented musician. From humble beginnings in a garage in Wyoming, Michigan, providing sound for local bands, Paul built Corporate Sound, Inc.—later renamed Corporate Live, Inc. in 2016—into a pioneer of the live events industry in West Michigan.
Over five decades, his vision and commitment elevated the company to prestigious stages, including Frederik Meijer Gardens, B93 Birthday Bash, and the Detroit Jazz Festival. A shrewd yet soft-spoken businessman, Paul mentored an exceptional team of technicians who became some of the finest engineers in the field, fostering a family-like atmosphere that defined his company.
Known for his big heart and servant-driven leadership, Paul believed in people—often before they proved themselves—offering them opportunities to spread their wings and soar. His client-centric approach, rooted in respect, dedication, and high-quality production, earned him the love and loyalty of clients and colleagues alike.
For Paul, relationships were a binding contract of 100% commitment, a principle that guided his business and personal life. As a single father, he prioritized his children’s well-being, providing for them with the same devotion he brought to all he loved. Their admiration for him stands as a testament to his boundless care.
Paul was more than a leader; he was a brother, a friend, and a faithful employer whose honesty, easygoing nature, and golden heart drew people to him. His impact—on Corporate Live, Inc., the industry, and the countless lives he touched—may never be fully measured. As we carry his legacy forward, we strive to honor his natural penchant for
relationship-based business, exceptional event experiences, and the humility that defined him.
Paul Winkler will be deeply missed, but his banner goes forth with all who knew him well. We extend our gratitude to our clients, staff, and community for their support during this time.
