The Full Moon Supper Club

The Full Moon Supper Club Michigan's oldest and most prominent community-focused, Slow Food Underground Supper Club! We are always looking for new hosts to hold our monthly dinners!

Here is what this would require and give to your business or location:

-As a non-profit group, we do not pay any fees or rental to our hosts, however we always grant them two free-of-charge seats at our dinner table, and the ability to invite any and all guests, clients, coworkers, business contacts, etc. at our given rate of donation for that evening (between $25 and $45 per person, never more).

We will also occasionally trade goods/services/entertainment/etc. for additional complimentary seats.

-Our supper club hosts between 15 and 40 people, generally. Our location would need to comfortably host an appropriate amount of people.

-A kitchen is ideal, but understandably not always possible. We at least need a useable sink/drinking water, and a restroom for our guests.

-Our guests bring their own place settings, so supplying those is not necessary. Tables and chairs however will be most helpful (we have some to add to your supply, as well).

-We allow our hosts the opportunity to greet the guests, show them around the space, and allow an address at the table to introduce and explain your business. Businesses are also welcome to offer items for sale/trade after dinner. We would also be happy to stage a FMSC dinner as a special event for your business: e.g. own a farm? We’ll make dinner from only your produce. Own a brewery? How about a beer tasting-menu?

-Our guest list will be strictly managed on a first-reserve basis. Hosts are welcome to invite guests, but please note that only formal online reservations will have their places held, and only pre-paid reservations are guaranteed.

-For ease of networking, we do the majority of our organization via Facebook. (www.facebook.com/fullmoonsupperclub) Hosts are welcome to join, and any hosting organization will become one of our page’s “favorites”, and will be shared to all our members. It's as simple as that!

Due to an oncoming bout of illness from the chef, we're going to play it safe and postpone Sunday's dinner - nobody should have to suffer a dinner that's been coughed upon, regardless of how tasty. Stand by for the next invite!

See? The Full Moon Supper Club is good for you!

The vague cultural concept doesn't translate easily into English, but it has helped Denmark become the 'happiest country on Earth' despite long, dark winters.

BANDIT QUEEN INDIEGOGO UPDATE:

We were SO close to our goal this week that Indiegogo offered us an extension! Good thing, too, as another dozen wonderful people contributed to Grand Rapids' food scene!
WE'RE NOW 92% OF THE WAY TO OUR GOAL!

It's more important than ever, now-- share and support our campaign, and we'll have the Queen up and sailing for August!

The Bandit Queen is a small, downtown tavern, serving Ramen and other traditional trade-route Asian fare, that utilizes local ingredients and stays up late.
