Theater 616 Intimate Theater Expanding the Mind!

SouthSide Theater Company was founded as East Kentwood Alumni Performers by Executive Director Andrew Williams (EKHS grad 2003) and Co-Founder Amie Bajalieh (EKHS grad 1999) in 2005. In 2011, the board reconvened with Andrew, Kylie Piette (EKHS grad 1995) as Artistic Director, and Sarah Milbratz (EKHS groupie) as Managing Director. We plan to bring a fresh perspective to the Grand Rapids theater c

ommunity, with seasons that address salient themes of the current political, social, and artistic climate through both classic and contemporary pieces.

We highly recommend taking Laurie Veldheer's audition workshop. Laurie is a Grand Rapids native who went on to study musical theatre performance at Penn State, one of the top, most prestigious, training programs in the Country. Since then, she has been seen on Broadway in Newsies and Mama Mia; and recently finished the National Tour of Into the Woods.
