Join us at Bethany Lutheran Church in Deer River MN on Tuesday, June 4 at noon to hear Adessa & The Beat as they kick off the Tuesday Summer Concert Series. This popular variety band provides musical covers sure to entertain audiences of all ages.

The concert is free, and tickets for the optional lunch that follows are $7. A free will offering is taken to cover costs and provide music scholarships to area students.

Great Music! Strong Family Connections! AND Local History—all bundled into the June 20, 2023 Tuesday Noon Concert at the United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids.
In 45-minutes, two music professors at Viterbo U with ties to Deer River and Grand Rapids bring together their shared passions of family, music, faith, and ongoing history. Both have lengthy resumes attesting to lifetimes of nurturing young musicians. Mary Ellen Patnaude maintains close ties with her family in Grand Rapids and has brought us a variety of concerts. This year, she and her baritone colleague Dan Johnson Wilmot have explore the celebrations and tribulations of homesteading in northern Minnesota in the early twentieth century.

The Tuesday Summer Concert Series opened June 6 with an exciting performance by Adessa & the Beat!

The next concert will be June 13 at First Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids. It will feature “Vocal Perspective” - the talented acoustic folk duo of Laurie Antonson and Wayne Leeds.

These concerts are open to the public and free of charge. The hosting church offers a lunch for $7.00. There is a free will donation and the money provides scholarships to local music students.
