Cecilia Music Center has been to promote the appreciation, study, and performance of music in order to enrich the human spirit and enhance the quality of life for the residents of West Michigan. Cecilia Music Center (SCMC) has kept music alive in West Michigan. Whether is it reaching a young child how to hold an instrument for the first time or presenting world-renowned artists in Royce Auditorium

, SCMC is committed to providing life-changing musical experiences for everyone in our community. At the heart of SCMC is its historic facility. Built in 1894, the Music Center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Now in its 135rd year of operation, SCMC is the longest running arts organization in the region. Called the “Mother of the Arts in West Michigan,” SCMC was the starting place for many other regional arts organizations, such as the Grand Rapids Symphony, Opera Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids Ballet, and Grand Rapids Civic Theatre. Today more than 50,000 pass through the Music Center each season for our School of Music, Presenting Concert Series, special events, and cultural events hosted by community and performing arts organizations.

My Bluegrass Heart Fall/Winter Tour:

Joining me on the road will be an excellent band featuring returning members michaelclevelandfiddle and markschatzmusic, along with new blood - domles on mandolin, jeff.partin.10 on dobro, and jakestargel on guitar. This band kicks hard and it will be fun to see where it goes. You’ll hear music from the My Bluegrass Heart album as well as tunes from earlier bluegrass projects, like Drive, Bluegrass Sessions, and New Grass Revival.

Some of these shows are already on sale. For dates that are not yet on sale, venue presales begin June 25; keep an eye out at your local venues. Tickets for the general public will go on sale Friday, June 26.

My Bluegrass Heart will also continue to perform with reneeflemingmusic on select dates for our collaborative project, The Fiddle and the Drum. We have brought the show to Spoletto, and now Telluride, and we can't wait to take the music further. Join us in LA at Disney Hall, New York at Carnegie Hall, Chautauqua, NY...and stay tuned for more dates to come!
