Sleeping Beauty Dreams explores the age-old fable of Sleeping Beauty and for the first time, reveals what the Princess dreamt about during her 100-year slumber. · The story is told through a contemporary dance performance choreographed by Edward Clug.
· The Princess is played by world renowned prima ballerina Diana Vishneva and international ballet school founder Mi Deng (based on city).
· Performing alongside Vishneva or Deng is principal dancer at the Dutch National Ballet, Marijn Rademaker, who will play the role of the Prince.
· Each dance movement of the Princess is met by eight supporting dancers as well as larger-than-life demon and angel avatars, mimicking their moves.
· The demons and angel were imagined and visualized by Tobias Gremmler, famed digital artist that has developed design solutions for Apple, Samsung, Swarovski and Sony in addition to working with Bjork.
· Original costume designer was by artist Bart Hess, new costumes that are being incorporated are by Jorge Muskus
· The virtual characters are brought to life by Blacktrax and Perception Neuron / Noitom, enabling the real time digital projection of demons to move simultaneously with the Princess, as 14 motion sensors sewn in to the ornate costume instantly simlulate her movements.
· Audiences are physically and emotionally moved by the vibrating beats of electronic music by famed EDM pioneer, NOISIA’s Thijs de Vlieger, who wrote the original score.
