THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN BOOKING A LIP BLUSH APPOINTMENT 🧐

👄 Swelling is completely normal. As shocking as it may look at first, it will typically subside within 2–3 days.

👄 Lips do not heal as dark as they appear immediately after the treatment. The healed results will be much lighter and softer.

👄 It can be uncomfortable. Remember, it is a tattoo on your lips. Numbing helps a lot, but you may still feel some discomfort during the process.

👄 Color selection matters. Dark browns and deep violet/purple tones may look great with makeup, but they typically do not age well with permanent makeup. If I recommend against a certain color, it’s always in your best interest for long term results.

👄 Neutralizing isn’t optional. If you have darker tones in your lips it is required before achieving your desired color.

If you’re unsure about what is achievable, feel free to reach out before booking so we can discuss your goals and concerns. I want you to love your results, part of that is managing expectations. My ultimate goal is customer satisfaction🫶🏽

Let’s chat about lip shaping 👄

One of the most common questions I get is “Can you overline my lips?” or “Can you even out my uneven lips?”

Because pigments heal differently on regular skin versus lip tissue, the answer can be a bit more complicated than a simple yes or no.

In some cases, I’m able to extend the lip slightly beyond where the natural border appears to be. This is because the true lip border can sometimes sit slightly outside the natural lip color. However, once I reach hairs or visible pores, I’m unable to include that area in the shape due to the high risk of uneven healing.

The only time I may extend further onto regular skin is in advanced cases of trauma or medical conditions that have caused lip asymmetry.

So the answer really varies from client to client.

Asymmetry can also be tricky. I can often improve uneven lips, but in some cases it cannot be corrected 100% with lip blush alone because I cannot extend too far outside the natural border. When asymmetry is a major concern, I may recommend working with an injector after your lip blush for the best overall result.
