Join us for the Western Colorado History Live Chautauqua Performance from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the Central Library with Marvin Jefferson in his performance as renowned singer, actor, and activist Paul Robeson. Robeson was truly a "citizen of the world"—an artist who graced stages across the globe and an activist who fought for justice in many of those same places.
*Seating is limited. First come, first served.

I am excited to share about Abigail‘s connections to the ex-patriot art community in London. We will also meet Patience Wright, wax sculptress and Revolutionary spy, as portrayed by Kayla Brown, 6th grader at Independence Academy.

It was a lovely evening At the Midwest theater— what a fantastic venue for Chautauqua!

We are at the beautiful Midwest Theater for an evening of first-person history presentations. Abigail Adams is reading letters from her husband John and filling in details from her own perspective. A fascinating way to look at the founding of our nation.

Have you experienced Chautauqua yet? It’s learning disguised as entertainment!

These students have researched their characters, written monologues and memorized them. They’ll take questions IN CHARACTER, and also as the researcher.

This was a great exhibit— don’t miss it! My daughter and I really enjoyed a deeper understanding of how clothing can repress or express the human body that lives beneath it. It also created a curiosity to learn more. Bonus, the Victorian mansion in which it housed is beautiful 😍
