Primarily a performance artist-actress, singer and model, she discovered a love for collage & mixed media in 2019. Her first art show was with the National Collage Society where she received a Merit Award. She has since rec
eived multiple awards at the local, regional and national levels. She also curates’ art shows regionally, with a focus on launching new artists and women in art. A member in good standing of the Rocky Mountain Collage Society. Former member in good standing of the National Collage Society. About the Art:
A touch of whimsy, a dash of environmental, a splash of witty and just a drop of wry- these are the main ingredients in artist Heather Carson's work. Influenced by her mother, artist C. Allen, grandmother artist Willo Davies, great-grandmother artist Maude “Mickey” Harbert and scores of great uncles and aunts as well as pastel artist and friend Bev Lee and Native American artist and friend Kevin Red Star, Heather draws from a diverse mix of talent to create pieces that are as varied as her mentors.
