🎉 Friends! Exciting news!! And I need your help! 🙏
In the past I have had the wonderful opportunity to create various pieces of glass art and offer them to you all. Unfortunately, I have been limited to creating such items due to time, location, and other various issues that have occurred. I have also been approached by multiple people asking if I am able to teach or give them lessons. It has been a dream of mine to be able to give back to my community and offer the opportunity to help others create, but because I don’t have my own space I couldn’t fulfill their requests.
Although, I have been working behind the scenes on something incredible. I am currently in the process of opening up my own glass studio in downtown Grand Island. As of now I have a potential building to work in, some funding for equipment, insurance 95% squared away, and an incredible opportunity ahead of me that I need your help on.
On November 3rd, at the Grand Theater, in downtown Grand Island, I am one of ten finalists in the Grand Island Big Idea event. This event is like a local Shark Tank for our town where individuals all over the community submit ideas for businesses they would like to see happen here in Grand Island, Nebraska. Each finalist receives two minutes to pitch their idea to a panel of judges which is followed by a quick Q&A. The only thing is, how the top five are determined is by the audience voting. After all the pitches happen, the audience will scan a QR code and vote for who they believe should be in the top five. After the top five is determined, the panel of judges will decide the winner. The winner will receive $10,000 to help start up their business.
I am asking you all, if possible, to show up November 3rd at the Grand Theater located in downtown Grand Island, and vote for me. Social hour is from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, and live pitches start at 6:30. The event will end around 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM. I look forward to seeing you all!
