Family Fun Day looks like a beautiful time to visit Grand Haven for the Art Festival!!!! 😎☀️

Good morning, Grand Haven and art festival attendees!
Here at Mid-Mitten Weather, a student forecasting group from CMU, we've teamed up with the Grand Haven Art Festival to bring you forecasts throughout the event.
This is our forecast for Saturday, Family Fun Day. It'll be pretty calm through the day, with a high approaching 80 expected in the afternoon, very sunny skies, and no chance of precipitation! Additionally, winds will be out of the east/northeast, at around 7-12 miles per hour.
Humidity values will be comfortably low throughout the day, making it a great time to get outside and explore the art festival! Might want to bring the sunscreen, though, as the UV index will be elevated (7-8) by the afternoon.

It's not frozen outside, but
The excitement's in the air!
We've waited all year for this weekend,
Now there's artwork everywhere!

The art fest starts today!
The streets are lined with tents!
We'll welcome artists from near and far,
And all our volunteers are ready!

For months we've planned and organized,
The maps and signs are finally done,
Washington Avenue's transformed,
Into a gallery in the sun!

There'll be paintings!
There'll be clay!
There'll be sculptures on display!
For the first time in forever,
It's Grand Haven Art Fest Day!

We'll see families strolling downtown,
Kids creating masterpieces too,
The food smells great, the music's playing,
And the lake breeze's coming through!

I know it sounds a little crazy,
But after months of emails galore,
For the first time in forever,
We can finally open the doors!

They're setting up our booths today,
They've traveled many miles to be here!

The banners look amazing now,
The crowds will all be here!

For the first time in forever,
The avenue's alive with art!
For the first time in forever,
Creativity takes center part!

And if we work together,
This weekend's sure to be the best,
Because the whole community's gathered
For the Grand Haven Art Fest!

Good Morning Grand Haven!

We are Mid Mitten Weather, a student-led weather forecast organization at Central Michigan University. We are partnering with Grand Haven Art Festival to bring you forecasts for the event!

For Friday, temperatures will be in the lower 70s with winds 5-7mph out of the west. Skies will be mostly cloudy throughout the day with some clouds clearing in the afternoon and evening.

For Saturday, it will be a little bit warmer with mostly sunny skies, so make sure to bring your sunscreen! Winds will be slightly gustier around 7-9 mph out of the northwest.

For Sunday, it's going to be warmer in the upper 70s but the clouds will provide some relief. Winds will continue to be gusty around 5-10mph out of the west.
