🎶 HONORING A LEGEND — DOLLY PARTON 🎶

Granbury Theatre Company joins countless fans around the world in celebrating the extraordinary talent, artistry and influence of DOLLY PARTON — an entertainment icon whose work has touched our Opera House stage in more ways than one.

🎭 Dolly wrote the music and lyrics for the Broadway musical 9 TO 5, bringing the story she helped make famous on film to the musical stage. GTC was proud to present 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL twice as part of our Broadway on the Brazos season at the Historic Granbury Opera House.

🎬 Her connection to shows we've produced goes even further. Dolly starred as Truvy Jones in the beloved film adaptation of STEEL MAGNOLIAS and as Miss Mona in the film version of THE BEST LITTLE WH******SE IN TEXAS — two stories that have also come to life on our stage.

🎤 And, of course, her unmistakable music has been celebrated here as well, including during our tribute concert DECADES OF DIVAS.

For many members of the Granbury Theatre Company family, Dolly has long been an inspiration — not only as a singer, songwriter and actress, but as a storyteller and performer whose career has crossed generations and genres.

And we know from our audiences that there are plenty of Dolly fans sitting in the Opera House seats, too! ❤️

From the silver screen to Broadway, from country music classics to stories we've shared on our own stage, Dolly Parton's remarkable legacy has a special connection to Granbury Theatre Company.
