On June 5, a beautiful evening at Bill Cooke Park came alive with music as The Abbey Elmore Band brought their signature indie pop sound to the Musical Chairs Concert Series stage.

The free, family-friendly event offered the perfect opportunity to unwind outdoors and enjoy a night together. Friends, families, and neighbors gathered with lawn chairs in hand, while local favorites Fiya Pit Food Trailer and Travelin' Tom's Coffee of Alamance Co. kept everyone fueled with delicious treats and refreshments.

The Countywide Concert Series continues its tradition of bringing communities together every Friday from May through August at locations across Alamance County.

2026 Graham Lineup:
• May 1 – Oscar’s Latin Band (Latin)
• June 5 – The Abbey Elmore Band (Indie Pop)
• July 3 – No concert in Graham
• August 7 – Graymatter (Acoustic Rock)

It was a wonderful evening filled with great music, warm community spirit, and plenty of memorable moments. Thank you to everyone who joined us, we loved seeing the park filled with smiling faces and good company!

School’s out, and summer fun is in! Celebrate the summer break at Slice of Summer, a splash-filled festival hosted by Graham Recreation & Parks at its NEW 2026 location, Bill Cooke Park.

This free, family-friendly event is packed with water attractions, delicious food trucks, and plenty of opportunities to cool off and make lasting summer memories. Grab your swimsuit, bring your friends and family, and get ready for an afternoon of soaking fun for all ages!

What is ecoEXPLORE?
ecoEXPLORE (Experiences Promoting Learning Outdoors for Research and Education) is a free, kid-friendly community science program for students in grades K–8, created by The North Carolina Arboretum. The program combines outdoor exploration, technology, and real scientific research, encouraging young explorers to discover and document the natural world around them.

Make a splash at Slice of Summer, a water-themed festival hosted by Graham Recreation & Parks at its new 2026 location, Bill Cooke Park! This free, family-friendly event features food trucks, giant water attractions, and plenty of soaking fun for all ages.

Come prepared for the water activities:
• Wear comfortable clothing that can get wet and handle active play
• Shirts and shorts are required on all rides and attractions
• Bathing suits are recommended under cover-ups
• Tennis shoes or water shoes are encouraged (flip-flops are discouraged)
• Bring sunscreen and be ready for summer fun
• Expect to get soaked!

Whether you're watching the clouds over the water, casting a line from the shore, paddling across the lake, or simply enjoying lunch with family and friends, the lake offers the perfect place to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature.

June & July Hours: 6:30am – 8:00pm (Closed Tuesdays)

Throughout the season, visitors can also enjoy special programs and events, including the Season-Long Big Bass Tournament, monthly Bank Fishing Catfish Tournaments, and more.
