After working for nearly 10 years in the advertising world as a marketing photographer, I shifted gears into full time motherhood. I started painting again and now I work in both photography and painting. I try to find a balance between capturing stories on camera, and creating stories in my abstract paintings. I’m inspired by nature, traveling, and observing day-to-day life.

Where are all my butterfly lovers?? 🦋

Don’t worry we found this one unscathed but it’s soul had already gone to bug heaven.

It’s always fun to try new things with Cyanotypes, especially with kids! If I ever forget to bring these camping my kids would never let me hear the end of it! It’s become part of our routine now. AND it’s a good motivator to keep the kids hiking and hunting for the next thing they can turn into a cyanotype.

What would your kids want to make?? I’d love to hear-the possibilities are endless!

I haven’t made any art in over a week. This summer I feel like I need to spend all the time I can with my kids. They are growing up and soon school will start and I will miss them. So instead of art that you see, I’ve been crafting, swimming, paddle boarding, helping with lemonade stands and going on bike rides. Family is also a creation of art.
