The goal for next years event is $3700- that covers the cost of the fireworks as well as the cost of the band I am trying to book. The event will be held at the river access and games and food will also be available while the band is playing and prior to the fireworks. We have raised $1100 so far. Let’s get this done for our community!

Thank you to those of you who came down and got some food, played some games, and engaged in conversation. Thank you also for the donations towards next year’s event. Happy 4th!

Unfortunately, we didnt make enough this year in the fireworks fund to light up the sky this time, but our town 4th of July get together is still on, and will be at the town park on Friday, July 4th, beginning at 1pm and ending at 3pm. We wilk have co****le and board games available to play. Food will be down in the shelter house. We have hot dogs and buns donated which Ron Neibel has volunteered to cook on the grill. Millie McGees is donating cole slaw and pasta salad. We will have sweet tea and lemonade for your drink choices. There will be a donation box set out if you would like to add to our fireworks fund for next year. We will keep collecting until we reach our goal amount of $2500 for our fireworks display. Hopefully next year we can add that to our event as well as a band. Thank you to everyone who has donated via donation boxes or as businesses. Your contribution has been applied to the fund for next year. See you on the 4th. ❤️🤍💙

We are less than a month away from the 4th of July, and while donations have accumulated this year, we still don’t have enough to host a fireworks display this year, unfortunately.

I do want to thank everyone that has given to the cause this year and donation boxes will continue to be available at Millie McGees diner, Owen County State Bank- Gosport, Gosport Tavern, and Gosport VFW. We will apply the money we have collected thus far to next years event and hopefully be able to have fireworks next year.

However, just because we won’t have fireworks this year, doesn’t mean we won’t still have some sort of event. We will still have a get together in the park- weather permitting. As long as it’s not raining, there will be co****le and board games in the park. We will check into some food and music. More on that to come. Stay tuned for updates.

Just wanted to send out a reminder that we do have locked donation boxes located at Owen County State Bank- Gosport, Millie McGees, and the Gosport VFW. We are still trying to raise the money to have a fireworks display but are still a couple grand short. If anyone would like to donate to our event please see one of the listed locations. If we do not raise enough for fireworks this year, the money donated already will be banked and applied towards next years event and we will try again to reach the goal next year.

Hello Gosport Community!

It’s another year and it’s time to start planning for the next July 4th Jamboree. There are currently donation boxes set out at Owen County State Bank in Gosport, Millie McGee’s Diner, and the Gosport VFW. With collected donations, the hope is to be able to afford a band as well as fireworks.

Like last year, we will have food available as well as board games and co****le.
