Meet the Artist
Roy Pangle was born in Denver, Colorado, September of 1927. After attending Cretin Military School in St. Paul Minnesota, Roy served in the Army/Air Force during WWII at the young age of 19. Following his service he studied art for 3 years at the Minnesota Museum School of Art, and then 2 years at the New York Art Students League.
In 1954, Roy married his wife of 54 years, Theresa Ann. Together they raised 7 children. During this time Roy served as the Art Production Manager of the Denver Dry Goods before beginning his work as a staff artist at the Denver Post National Sales Division. He was then promoted to Art Director of the Empire Magazine, and then went on to become the Art Director of Advertising for the Denver Post for 10 years.
Roy is extremely involved with his family including his children, grand children, and now great grand children. He continues to create art work on a daily basis at the age of 90 in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he now resides.
