Bull riding.
It's not how much you spend on a school, it's really not how many schools you go to. It's not whose School you attend.
Every teacher of bull riding or coach has their own selling points. They have their own overviews and opinions. None of them are wrong. They all trying to teach the same basic skills. They all try and get one in the mindset to become a champion.
Being successful Rider comes from within the individual. It comes from a burning desire Within. It comes from not wanting to lose. It comes from Grit, hard work, discipline and dedication.
You have to eat sleep and breathe it.
You have to build confidence. Building confidence if you do not have it comes from discipline. If you don't have discipline, you have to realize there's a difference between wanting to do it, and doing it.
If you find yourself going from school to school to try and better yourself, odds are you are lacking the discipline.
Going to the gym , makes you stronger . Becoming stronger builds confidence . Going to the gym and getting stronger and building confidence may build your desire .
If you haven't started there , you're doing things mediocre . Mediocre does not create the best champions .
Most all bull riding teachers and coaches teach the same basic fundamentals. Some have a little different Twist on them. If you go to a school and you do not apply what the first coach teaches you, you think if you go to another school you may learn something you didn't learn at the first one. Then you go to the Third, and possibly a fourth.
Odds are you did not truly apply the fundamentals that the very first coach or teacher taught you. If so you need to ask yourself why? Riding bulls is as hard as you make it. It's not a pony ride. It has no pause button. It's 8 Seconds that takes time. It takes proper preparation.
The very first human being that ever conquered a horse to ride did not have a teacher or schools. They had to have the try and desire. I would bet they bucked off several times. Nobody or nothing taught them how to overcome. It came from within themselves in a need for what was to be.
It will never be for the most part easy. If it was easy everyone would do it.
You have to view yourself as a warrior. You have to put yourself in situations that you need to work your way out of. That means if you tell yourself you're going to do 12 reps in a set, you do 12 reps. You do them with precision.
When you go to the gym and you have a certain regiment you follow, do you just try and get through the motions for completion?
Or are you going through the motions fundamentally and breaking them down in the fashion that they will work? No pain, no gain. There's a difference between picking up a weight bar and doing 12 reps just to get through the 12 reps. Now if you pick up that weight bar and go through the motions with precision that will help strengthen yourself, now you're building discipline. It's not an overnight deal. It takes time. After not a long period of time but after some time but being disciplined you will get strong. Once you feel strong or stronger, your confidence will build.
Now that you have the discipline and confidence you go to the next step. What is your desire? Now move forward. If your desire in the beginning was to become a great bull rider. Now you have said a foundation to become one.
The greatest baseball players struck out. The greatest quarterbacks have thrown interceptions. And the greatest bull riders have bucked off. Don't let losing the battles distract you from winning the war.
Intense visualization, deep desire, unwavering belief proactive enthusiastic action are the keys to achieving any goal.
Paul J Meyer wrote a quote that one of the greatest bull riding coaches on the planet has used since day one.
Anything you vividly imagine
Ardently desire
Sincerely believe in
Enthusiastically act upon
Will inevitably come to pass
Make it easy on yourself. Be honest with yourself. You have to work all week to get a paycheck at the end of the week. It's no different with riding bulls, you have to work for it. Find a job you like, and you'll never have to work a day in your life.
Have a great day
