We are thrilled to announce TWO exciting new partnerships bringing immersive, audience-engaged experiences to The Barn III stage and BEYOND! PLEASE join us in a BIG BARN III WELCOME to these amazing folks who will be on stage with us this season and NEXT!

First up… we are thrilled to partner with Upstage Theatre Company out
of Peoria to bring you another immersive Barn experience! This spring,
you LOVED stepping into the magic, mayhem and matrimony of a real Barn
III Wedding… and now we’re taking that same interactive energy on a
TROPICAL CRUISE!

"Bon Voyage: Murder on the High Seas" is an original comedy musical
murder mystery written and produced by Upstage Theatre Company and
lovingly brought to life right here on the Barn III stage. We are
beyond excited to collaborate with professional dinner theatre folks
Jolene and Craig Howard, who will be leading the theatrical fun while
The Barn III serves up the food, beverages, and hospitality you know
and love! This will be part of our Supper Club Series, which means
your ticket includes BOTH the performance and your food and
non-alcoholic beverages. Dinner, drinks, tropical cruise vibes,
audience participation, costume contests and maybe just a little
murder on the high seas - ALL INCLUDED!

Next, looking ahead to Holy Week 2027, we are honored to welcome something
truly special to The Barn III stage. After receiving a handful of
heartfelt letters from loyal Barn-goers encouraging us to learn more
about this performance...the rest is history!
Messiah’s Story will join us on Friday, March 26,
2027 (evening performance) and Saturday, March 27, 2027 (matinee
performance).

Rooted in Bloomington and written and directed by local Nathan
Bassett, Messiah’s Story is an immersive, audience-engaged theatrical
experience that brings the life, ministry, and sacrifice of Jesus
Christ into focus. Rather than watching from a
distance, audiences are invited to step into the story, standing among
the crowds, witnessing the miracles, and experiencing the final hours
with renewed immediacy and reverence.

For generations, Central Illinois was home to the beloved American
Passion Play, a Bloomington tradition that lived for 100 years and
helped shape our region’s theatrical and faith-based storytelling
legacy. We are blessed to hand over our stage for this fresh
reimagining of that sacred tradition, and we hope it will be a
blessing to all who choose to attend. This will be a goodwill
performance for the Messiah’s Story troupe, with tickets sold through
The Barn III Box Office for the meal only.
