Stop by Sweets & Stones Thrift Boutique right on 41 in Abingdon where we will be set up this Friday-Sunday.
We will have alpaca bird nesters that give your birds the luxury of alpaca fiber to build their nests with. Dryer balls, the eco friendly alternative to dryer sheets.
Hand dyed yarn, handspun yarn & spinning fiber.
Some hand knit , felted and woven shawls, hats and more.
Also high quality 3d printed statues. All of them have a knit texture to make it look like you made them!
We will even have emu feather earrings from our emus Edna & Earl!

Stop by and support a small farm & business! We Wil be in the green tent!

Dear parents, please do not use a vendors booth to babysit your children at fiber festivals.

This past weekend I had a child that spent literally all day of a festival coming to my booth and playing roughly with my 3D printed items. While I know that some are fidgets the rest are statues that I personally 3D print. These are not bulk made in a factory somewhere. This child's parents allowed them to wander around and when they were nearby they were scrolling on their phone vs paying attention to them. The child would come back every few minutes and roughly play with the fidgets while looking over at me every so often. At first I thought OK, their parents will come by and buy one for them. Instead the child continually came back and I could see they were playing rough with them. At one point I said please be gentle with my items. They then ran off. I went to to the table smd found that they had popped a head off of a snail. I then removed the fidgets from my display to my checkout table. When they came back again looking for them with the parent on the phone they looked at me like where are my toys. I then polietley said, the ladt time you left my table there was a broken fidget so I've had to put them up. The parent was like OH. No offer to pay for the damage or to buy something to occupy the child. Then they finally left the festival.
As I was packing up I found 2 bees with their antenna snapped off as well.

Please parents be aware that our booths are not there to babysit your children. While I understand that my 3d prints look like toys the majority of them are designed for display in people's homes. As a very small business that relies on every sale to help keep the lights on and feed our fiber animals it really hurts to have our products destroyed. I make everything in our booth and I find it very disrespectful that people think it's OK to allow somone to mo**st the items they have for sale and damage then. I am not walmart where I figure in a loss for every day I vend. I am a small business and my arts deserve respect. I have had lots of children come into the booth and run their hands up and down my fiber roughing it up as well.

While 90%of the children of fiber artists are respectful the other 10% are going to cause some changes in the booth. Parents of the world please teach your children to respect the art that small business make and that you handle things you haven't purchased with care.

Get a good night’s rest! The Bloomington IN Wool & Fiber Festival is just a few days (and nights) away! Join us Friday & Saturday, October 2 & 3, at the Monroe County Fairgrounds for loads of fiber arts fun and excitement. Free admission and free parking, 9 am to 4 pm both days.

Thanks to everyone that came out to DFW Fiber Fest last weekend to support our small fam & business. To those that Cody Fueyo told that he was only let out of the basement to come to the festival you will be glad to know that he has returned to the basement again. Since he did a good job selling I gave him bananas to go eith his bread and water this time. The next time he will be out will be Bloomington Wool and Fiber Festival and Southern Indiana Fiber & Arts Festival . Stop by either festival to say hi!

***disclaimer obviously Cody does not live in the basement but he likes to joke that he does and only gets bread. He obviously eats more than just bread lol
