It is with great sadness that we share the loss of one of our Skate 522 volunteers and co-founders, Matt Cranor. Matt passed Sunday September 17 after a brief battle with cancer.
Skate 522 would not be what it is without his dedication and vision. He spent many years maintaining, fixing, and rebuilding the Goochland skatepark. Matt's passion and love of skating helped drive phase 1 of the rebuild and we will make sure his memory is honored and preserved at the Goochland skatepark.
In lieu of flowers, Matt's family is asking for donations to Skate 522 or Richmond SPCA.
