I wanted to apologize for not posting an update after this past weekend's event.
We were there and set up, but unfortunately the weather had other plans. Like several other vendors, we had to pack up early because we started losing inventory. We simply couldn't stay and sell wet paper products, binders, and water-damaged collectibles.
For a small business like ours, that's a significant loss. It's not something we can just brush off with "oh well" or "it is what it is." (that's what we was told) It's a lot of hard work, time, and money invested.
Looking back, I should have listened when Less suggested we pack up sooner. I was worried that leaving early might hurt our chances of being accepted to future events, even though we weren't signed up for any yet. Hindsight is always clearer.
More than anything, this whole experience has taken a toll on me mentally and emotionally. From the preparation beforehand to how everything unfolded, it's been a lot to process. If there's one lesson I'm taking away from this, it's that I need to trust myself and listen to my instincts more often.
Thank you to everyone who supports our little business. We truly appreciate each and every one of you, and we'll keep moving forward. ❤️
