Being able to watch Jack grow from a boy into a full-blooded rail assassin life long skateboarder has been a wild ride and what a journey to watch. From the early days touring around Minnesota, to Van life traveling for King of the Groms, to watching him win Tampa Am, then turning pro for Real Skateboards then opening up After Hours Skateshop skate shop with him, then watching him flourish within the industry is just totally rad. This man puts everything he has and into skateboarding every single day. He loves it as if it was his first day and we are grateful for all the time spent with him at the Lair. He will forever be the president of the street course and what Jack says goes. A true testament to never giving up and following your dreams! Have the best year brother!

Today would have been E. Henry Gartland’s 27’s birthday. We miss his pure and raw skateboarding but even more than that we miss his laugh, character and aura. He emitted light and love where wherever he went. Not a day passes here where we don’t honor him and the mark he left. Forever we carry Hank in our heart and under our feet as we thrash through this life. Reach out to someone today and connect for Henry! 💜
