He played a big role developing my love for the camera. He photographed many of the horrors of war while serving in the Army in World War II. He helped me realize that every picture has a story to tell. You can often find me on my boat, Thirdwind. I love the freedom of being out on the ocean. It helps me get close to places and scenes you just cannot see from land. For me, it is about finding beau

tiful form, a sweeping curve, a texture or colors or shadow and light that combine to make a moment that moves me to snap the shutter. Living so close to the ocean I have developed a fascination with moving water. Often, I will experiment with the exposure settings to capture the flow of the water. At times I will even freeze the movement to capture a minimalist view of the scene. When creating landscape art, I am looking for the scene within the scene - patterns in the sand, an arrangement of rocks that one might not normally see themselves. Combined with beautiful morning natural light, the opportunities are limitless.
