I found it interesting see how lobster is caught up north. We see a lot of crab pot buoys in Florida. Up North, and especially Maine it’s lobster pot buoys, and lobster fishing boats everywhere.

After diving Folly Cove we headed over to Gloucester for lunch. On the sailboat delivery up, I had been listening to The Perfect Storm through Audibles on my watches. I was excited and humbled to visit the town where this true story originated. We visited the fisherman’s memorial, erected to pay homage to the brave and rugged Gloucester fisherman that lost thier lives to the sea between 1623-1923. 5368 known lost men are listed here, but this memorial also stands for the ones lost that there is no record of. The culture of the town is rich in fishing history. We drove by the Crows Nest bar where the fisherman of the Andrea Gail spent much of their time. We ended this “Perfect” day by watching The Perfect Storm on a projector screen outside at the Sadler’s house. Thanks for a great couple days , Tom, Aidan, and Liam 😊.

My time as crew ended in Camden Maine. I got to meet the Schooner Grace Bailey. Unfortunately, she was all wrapped up and did not get to play this season. It was exciting to check this to town out because 20 years ago .the.rhino worked on the Grace Bailey. Can’t wait to get a proper tour from Richard.
