โผ๏ธ๐จUrgent message๐ด
I do not need to explain my families life/lifestyle for this post but with the amount of calls we received yesterday, I feel like a post should be made going over a few things.
1. Our schedule is 2 weeks out for a trail ride/lesson/farm tours. We have lesson students who come weekly already. We have 3 horses we use. Theyโre older. We do not use them more than once per day with 2 days off a week. If this doesnโt work for your schedule, we can recommended other facilities to ride. We do not have a lot of horses because simply of how much they cost to buy and take care of.
2. We are by appointment only. Again, 2 weeks out for scheduling.
3. Trail riding is the worst in the summer time. The bugs are horrible out right now. The heat makes bugs even worse and making it a unenjoyable ride. If you must take a ride in the summer, keep in mind early morning or late evening. Trail riding is best in fall and winter.
4. A release form must be signed prior to booking. We have a no/show cancelation policy. This is in place because we get no shows and then lose time and money because someone else could have been booked at that time.
With this all being said:
My husband works overtime hours, we have a toddler, she is not in school, we have certain times for a baby sitter, itโs not all day or everyday, because who can afford that these days. I have responsibilities for my family like each and every one of you. Everything you see done on our farm is done on my own. Meaning feeding animals, water, cleaning run ins, mowing, weedwacking, all care of the animals, maintaining our trails, the list goes on. I also am the only one who teaches lessons, guided trail riding, farm tours, and our mobile services. Some of our students are now showing with the horses. We have 48 acres and 70 animals. I still have a life outside of the farm to enjoy my family and watch my daughter grow.
So, if you can not understand why we are scheduled about 2 weeks out, than please find another farm to go to.
I strive to make this farm what it is. Itโs my passion. Your experience here is taken into consideration to make it the best. Our horses are beyond safe and our animals are overly friendly.
I am hiring someone to teach lessons and trail rides to be able to accommodate more and she will be starting in 2 weeks.
Hopefully you can find understanding in all of this.
Thank you to those who really are patient with us and continue to book with us.
Enjoy the rest of the summer we have left ๐โ๏ธ๐
