Who's ready for some FAIR FUN??? We have an action packed fair planned for all of you so save the dates!! July 29-Aug 1, 2026. Packed with some long standing favorites like the Tractor Pull, Demo Derby and Ranch Rodeo interspersed with new things like the Backyard BBQ Bonanza with Live Music by William Elliott Whitmore, Twin City Caricatures and Annandale Paintball's Laser Tag! We also have Magic Joe with 3 days of performances and 4 days of pottery demonstrations by Mike Burgraff of Burgraff Creative. And to top it all off, we have Crescent City Amusements bringing back their carnival after a decade of not being here!! We're EXCITED and hope you will be too!! Plan to join the fun and tell your friends!! PS....LOTS of fun fair food coming too!!!

📢Calling all GARDENERS, WOODWORKERS, QUILTERS and ARTISTS! Let's PACK the Legacy Building with your produce, quilts, projects, photos and other unique creations! We have a class that will fit! Showcase your talent -- we want to SEE!!! Entry registration is OPEN!!

🙋🏻‍♀️Do you enjoy arranging? Would you like a sneak peak? Volunteers are needed to set up all the open class exhibits, assist judges and to be a presence in the building during the fair. If you'd like to volunteer, please drop an email indicating your interest to [email protected] or reach out to Danielle Lien. It takes a village to put on the fair--we need YOU! Thank you!

🚨IMPORTANT NOTES:🚨
-Registration deadline is end of day, Sunday, July 19th. Staff will be on hand at the Legacy Building from 4-7PM that day to assist registration for those without internet access. -No new registrations will be accepted after that date. Please plan accordingly. We thank you for your understanding.
-Physically bring your entries in on Monday, July 27th from 1-7PM in the Legacy Building.
-Exhibit release will be on Sunday, August 2nd from 9-11AM.

VERY EXCITED to announce that Crescent City Amusements (can you say, CARNIVAL!!!) will be at our 140th fair!! Thanks in large part to Stoen's Hydrostatic, American Solutions for Business and Phil and Catherine Stumpf, we are able to bring the carnival back!! Tell all your friends and meet us at the fair!! New Grandstand Event this year! The Backyard BBQ Bonanza, featuring live music by local artists Dana Robinson and The Bottlerockets, followed by Iowa folk rock artist William Elliott Whitmore.. One man, his booming voice, a banjo, guitar, and bass drum. For over 20 years William has traveled the United States and Europe sharing his homegrown music, anchored by his Iowa farm roots. He puts on a show that is never boring!

We're looking for local artists, artisans, crafters....anyone who has a hobby that they love or a talent they'd like to share! We'd like to hear about it! It could be scrapbooking, fishing, woodworking, leather work, sharing a musical instrument, singing, etc! We want to highlight the fun things in our community! Just a short demo on the free stage at some time during the fair. If you'd like to share, please reach out to us at [email protected]! We will likely offer grandstand tickets or vendor bucks or something as a thank you. Let us know which you'd prefer so we can decide what to offer!

Pope County Fair camping forms are now available on the website www.popecountyfair.org. Site are assigned on a first paid basis and they fill very quickly so don't delay. Share this with your friends! Due to rising costs, electrical sites will cost $150 in 2026. A limited number of non-electrical sites are available for $50. We can't wait to see you at the fair!

Hello everyone!! We are ramping up for the 2026 Pope County Fair! Believe it or not, it will be here before we know it! At this time we are looking for groups that would be interested in working the beer garden and/or Bingo. They could be separate or together. We have a need for afternoon Bingo NOT in the beer garden and evening sessions IN the beer garden. Please reach out to us at [email protected] if you're interested in either or both. There is a $400 vendor charge for the Beer Garden.
