Under the heading of Best Laid Plans...
Had a visitation/funeral this morning (had to be at the site at 8am....made it there at 8:09. Visitation 9-10, funeral at 10.
Got home around noon, and am about to finish a cup of 100% caffeine coffee (I usually drink 3 scoops decaf to 1 scoop real - but I'm pooped!).🫤
So I've been practicing like mad trying to get specifically requested hymns into my fingertips (Blessed Assurance, How Great Thou Art)...had them pretty much nailed last night. Played 'light classical' for the visitation and had situated myself so all I had to do was turn the chair around and place the amp into the ceremony area... and when I had done that, the minister just jumped right into the service. Boom, all those HOURS of practicing those hymns - And I never got to play those two pieces!
A little cheesed about all the effort I put into the hymns, and relieved at the same time!😆
