The Wood Theater is a 30,000 square foot community facility that resulted from the dramatic rehabilitationof a vacant Woolworth Store on Glen Street in the heart of downtown Glens Falls. The facility includes:

• A 300-seat theater, which is fully ADA compliant, and includes state-of-the-art lightingand sound packages. Suited for theater, dance, music, film and presentations

• A 3,000 square foot

rehearsal hall with natural light, changing rooms and separate lobby. This room is also available for receptions, meetings and workshops.

• Over 2,600 square feet of lobby space including a box office, concession area andample room for large receptions.

Rehearsals are underway for ART POP and you do NOT want to miss this. Meet the cast performing stripped down, dramatized versions of modern hits from Chappell Roan, Taylor Swift, Noah Cyrus, Lady Gaga plus timeless classics from Celine Dion, Adele, Britney Spears, Cyndi Lauper and more!

This exciting exploration of musical genres will also feature a lobby and stage art Gallery, honoring all the ways Art and Pop collide.

Tickets are just $25 and 100% of proceeds after production expenses benefit the Wood Theater!

Today we celebrate not just the last day of Theatre for Tots 2026 - but TEN YEARS of Theatre for Tots! 🤩

A decade ago, the program started under the partnership of Erin C**n and Erin Dove - welcoming about a dozen kiddos ages 4-9 to spend a couple of hours a day for a week learning all about theater.

Now, the camp has expanded to ages 4-14, has a Morning and Afternoon Session and is offered over two weeks.

This year, we had over 115 Tots and Tweens learning about all things theater - acting, directing, technical theater, costumes, sets, music, dance - all of it!

The unique part about Theatre for Tots, while the older groups do a showcase at the end the week - the end goal isn’t performance. The goal is exploration of all the theater arts have to offer in a fun and safe space to create.

This program not only cultivates a new generation of theater artists - but theater educators, too. Some former participants and volunteer aides now serve as lead instructors, assistant instructors and guest artists for the program they grew up in.

We’re so proud of this program, the hundreds of participants, dozens of instructors and guest artists and all of the parents who foster a love for the arts!

We can’t wait to see how much further we can grow! 💛🎭

This workshop introduces ways intimacy principles and consent forward practices robustly support conscientious and courageous play in the rehearsal/ performance process. focus is performance based, but open to all theatre folks

This workshop is led by Corey Tazmania. Corey’s specialization in intimacy for actors draws on the actor’s training and expertise to create dynamic physical stories grounded in text and empowers the actor to make bold artistic choices rooted in respectful interplay.

She is the Intimacy Director at Lake George Dinner Theatre this season, and has worked with a number of professional and academic theatres in Toronto and New York.

We have recently been made aware of an uptick of scam websites ‘selling tickets’ to events at the Wood Theater.

Typically, these websites charge you a significant markup, purchase real tickets through our box office and pocket the difference.

This week, though - a number of folks have been affected by a website that isn’t even purchasing real tickets. They’re just charging well meaning patrons a 200% markup and when they arrive, we have no order for them.

We understand that when shows are popular, selling quickly and there’s a lot of buzz - it’s easy to get excited about finding tickets and grab what you can find. Mistakes can happen very easily and these website are getting more advanced and trickier to spot.

Please, please take a moment to review these tips to safely and securely buy tickets at the listed pricing and ensure you have a seat in our theater.
