BDA Alumni Update:
We have gotten a lot of great interest in participation in our 50th anniversary alumni dance for the recital.
We wanted to send you a few updates and answers to some questions we have been getting.
#1- You do not need to come to every rehearsal. If you can only make it to one rehearsal that is fine. If you are available and willing please feel free to join us for as many as you wish. We will also be making a video that we can send out for additional practicing.
The May 16th rehearsal will be on stage at The Glens Falls High school auditorium, and we will have a rehearsal Saturday May 30th of recital morning.
#2 We will be performing the alumni dance during opening number at all 4 of our shows. You do not have to perform in all 4 of our shows, do whatever works best for you, however you are welcomed to perform in all and we would love it.
#3 Alumni will be wearing our 50th anniversary recital t-shirts that you can purchase at the studio prior the recital or you can get them on your performance day. We would like for you to wear black leggings with the t-shirt and a pair of clean sneakers can be worn to rehearsals and performances or if you still happen to have your jazz shoes that works too.
#4 Please send us your old dance pictures for our slide show being displayed during the show We still welcome your photos even if you are not able to participate in the dance. Ex. Photos- with your old dance classmates, recital shots, studio shots, ect.. Those can be sent via email.
If you are planning on participating we need you to please send us an email at mailto:[email protected] with your full name, graduation year, shirt size, and contact information, so we can email you rehearsal times and information. Please also include what show you plan to participate in or if you’re planning to participate in all so we can get a head count of how many we will have.
Again, do not be scared, we promise this routine will be choreography that all levels and ages can follow. Please spread the word and get all of your past dance friends to participate with you! The more the merrier!
Unfortunately we have to cancel this weekends alumni rehearsal (April 24th) due to an unforeseen conflict. We will have a rehearsal Sunday May 3rd (late afternoon, early evening) and Saturday May 9th (morning/early afternoon), Dress rehearsal weekend May 16th (morning), and Recital Saturday May 30 (morning). If you are dancing in the Friday show you will have to make one of the rehearsals prior to Friday May 29th recital. We will send an email out with exact times for rehearsals to those who email us signing up to participate.

We are so excited to reunite with you all and appreciate all of your cooperation and participation. We’re ready to celebrate!
