Come experience Fabric collage! ✂️
On Saturday, September 12th and 26th, we’ll be holding a fabric collage workshop for people of all levels of experience! Fabric collage is a fascinating art form that you can make as simple or intricate as you want. It’s a fun way to use up fabric scraps and make beautiful art out of it 🤩 And with instructor Christine’s help, you can learn to make your own collages in no time!

Attention Tula Pink fans! We now have Tula’s new Deja Vu collection of Prince Charming! 🐸👑 If you're not familiar, the Deja Vu collections are reprints of older designs that have been freshened up with a new colorway to keep the collection accessible as they get older and harder to find!

The original Prince Charming collection released in 2011 in the colors navy, coral, olive, and aqua. This new rerelease has double the print colors and can be used as both a standalone or complimented by the True Colors collection! 😍 The Prince Charming Deja Vu collection is available both online and in-store at The SewNSew, along with some royal frog ribbon! Where do you store your needles? Me, personally, I have a little dish of needles and needle packs… but there could be better ways to store them 😅

I recommend getting one of our Needle Storage Containers! These adorable containers look like a giant spool of thread, and can hold both loose sewing needles AND packs of needles! There are 9 slots for needle packs (a pack of Schmetz machine needles fits perfectly!) and 9 holes for individual needles as well. This container is portable and secure, designed to twist into the top of the “spool” and keep your needles secure!

We have many different color options available, so come into the shop or check us out online to get one for yourself!

Let Bernie pay the money for it then...

Major labor unions are backing a proposal championed by U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders to establish a 32-hour workweek without reducing workers’ weekly pay. Supporters include the AFL-CIO, United Auto Workers and Service Employees International Union, with UAW President Shawn Fain previously making shorter working hours a major labor demand.

Business groups argue the proposal could effectively increase hourly labor costs by 25 percent because employees would receive the same weekly compensation for eight fewer hours. Critics warn hospitals, restaurants, manufacturers and transportation companies could face staffing challenges or higher costs. Supporters, however, argue shorter workweeks could improve workers’ productivity, health and quality of life.
